More than 150 Guests joined John Baker to celebrate his 80th Birthday at Tuncurry Bowling Club on Saturday 10 January (actual Birthday was 4 January) 2026.

Family, friends, former teammates and Pratten Park Magpies Members enjoyed a wonderful lunch, a selection of beverages, great company and some excellent interviews.

Patrons Harry Wells and John Dorahy presented John with an incredibly detailed ‘Scrapbook’ highlighting his footy career as well as a beautifully framed Collage which caught everyone’s attention.

The festivities concluded about 4.00 pm upon which Guests continued reminiscing in the Sports Bar and Lounge of the magnificently refurbished Club.
