On Sunday the 2nd of May 2021 a Special High Tea was held for the widows of members of the PPM
The High Tea was held at Wests Ashfield
Ten widows and their friends came along for a wonderful afternoon of music, food and Magpie Memories

Jack Fitzgerald played for Wests between 1947-1955 with 84 First Grade games
Jack coached Wests Reserve Grade team between 1957 – 1960
Jack also coached Wests First Grade between 1961 and 1964
Wests under Jack’s coaching played in three Grand Finals

Bill Wilson played for Wests between 1964 – 1967

Eddie Hooper played for Wests between 1949 -1957
Eddie coached Wests Reserve Grade in 1955
Wests Third Grade 1960-1962
Coached Wests Third Grade team to the premiership in 1961
Eddie was President of Wests 1968-1969 then again 1971-1976

Ken Stonestreet played for Wests between 1967 and 1972
Ken played 122 First Grade games during those years
Ken also coached Wests Third Grade team in 1973 and 1974

Noel Kelly played for Wests between 1961 and 1969
Noel played 111 First grade games and only played First Grade in his nine years at Wests

Jan Malone
Don Malone played for Wests between 1957 and 1967
Don played 81 First Grade games
Don played in two Grand Finals 1958 and was the half back in the famous 1963 Grand Final
Don also coached the 1967 Third Grade team to a Premiership

Janet Loder
Wayne Loder during the 1970’s played the majority of his football with Enfield Federals after his initial season in 1969 with Croydon Park and a season with Bankstown Sports in 1972
Wayne represented Canterbury – Bankstown in 1972 in Jersey Flegg.
And Wests in Presidents Cup in 1974
As a player Wayne played in premiership winning A, B, and C Grade sides between 1973 to 1977 for Enfield Feds

Anne Russell
Gary Russell played for Wests between 1957 – 1965. Gary played in many end of season games including two Grand Finals appearances
From 1970-1972 he coached Third Grade
Was Third Grade assistant secretary from 1975-1977 and Club secretary from 1978-1979 and was a long serving committeeman

Judy Brading the daughter of Billy Keato
Billy Keato played for Wests between 1938 – 1950
A goal-kicking fullback he played over one hundred First Grade games for the Magpies
He scored over 770 points to become Wests all-time top point-scorer and goal-kicker
Following his retirement from playing Keato served as Western Suburbs Secretary and Treasurer, commencing as Treasurer in 1951
His involvement with Wests lasted over four decades

Merrelyn Rogers
Don Rogers played for Wests between 1968 – 1976 with two seasons at Canterbury – Bankstown
Don scored 66 tries in all grades at Wests
Between 1970 and 1972, Don finished as the club’s top try scorer
